Purchase of US Sugar is
irresponsible TCPalm.com
Network: Aug. 20, 2009 It is likely that the $2.2 billion

will not have the money for existing authorized projects. "Visions"
are cheap, projects are expensive, and delaying restoration for
obscure, undefined and illusive visions is irresponsible. ....

How Much are Venice, the Everglades, and New
Orleans Worth ? "Accumulating
Peripherals" Blog: July 2,
2009 There may be no
Everglades in 100 years. The economic cost of that change to
US GDP is marginal. There will be no Venice in 100 years. The
economic cost of that change to US GDP is tiny. There will be
no New Orleans in 100 years. The economic cost of that change
to US GDP is extremely small. This is what economists and
scientists are telling us. But the worth of many precious
things cannot be measured in money - and by no ephemeral
indices like GDP. ....
